No bulk downloads - PLEASE! THIS IS OVERLOADING OUR SERVER AND DENYING ACCESS TO COMMUNITY USERS

Dear All,
does exist a portable installation for windows that will not require admin rights?
zy allow to unzip and execute... this is very useful in many situations...

Hi Fabio,

It is quite simple to prepare a portable installation on a USB drive for example/
You need to first copy the application installation folder tree.
Second stage is to copy the user data tree starting with the "data" folder into the same folder as the application.
That's it. When the program runs it will eventually find the data tree inside the application folder.

I will try - but not so trivial if you don't have access to a win machine as admin... I will have to use the installer on a VM on Linux or Mac to install and copy back to a USB pen...
Why not just distribute a ZIP file as an option to the installer?

You normally do not need to be admin to copy a folder from your hard disk to a USB key
